Berry Smoothie

IMG_2791
At last, a berry smoothie inspired by Montserrat’s post about A2 milk (What is A2 milk?) As a parent with a lactose intolerant child, A2 dairy products really make things easier in our household. There’s absolutely no difference in taste between ‘normal’ dairy products and A2 ones so, for us, they are a real find. Now, I can make one batch of a smoothie that works for everyone in the family.

You can use fresh fruit in this recipe as well, of course, but the frozen banana gives the smoothie a lovely creamy consistency and frozen berries make it more refreshing and ‘icy’, I think.

INGREDIENTS:
1 banana, sliced and frozen
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1 tsp orange juice
1 tsp milk
1 tsp runny honey (if needed)

PREPARATION:
Blend all ingredients together in a blender until smooth. Add additional milk and/or orange juice if you’d like a thinner smoothie.

Serves 2.
